What's good y'all? My name's Nik Walker, I'm a theater artist living in NYC and I'm so glad you're here!

First off, let's be clear- I live in NYC, but I'm a Beantown Boy till the end, born in Boston, Massachusetts to my wonderful mother, Elizabeth. At the time Ma was working in television news, so I had a taste of the public eye early on.

I got my start through Boston's Company One, they gave me my first professional gig as Balladeer in Sondheim's ASSASSINS. It was also through C1 that I met my buddies Tory Bullock, Danny Balel and Terri Deletetsky. In 2005 we formed a theater-poetry troupe called ARTiculation; we wrote a self-titled show that got a run on the mainstage of C1's 2008-2009 season, and we've been hanging together ever since.

I'm a proud alum of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Class of 2010. Through their unique studio system, I studied for 2 years at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, 1 year at Louis Scheeder's Classical Studio- focusing solely on Shakespearean text- and took a final semester at the Stonestreet Film and Television Studio. I was in two Tisch mainstage productions, met a lot of cool kids and mentors and played some killer video games.

The acting world can be a lot of waiting, but I keep moving, create my own work. Since the success of the ARTiculation show I've taken to writing plays. My rock fantasy Whiskeyland! is currently being produced by Broadway vets Richard H. Blake, Michael Balderrama, and Sean Frank Sullivan through their company, Last Call Theatricals. And I'm now a bit of a "vet" myself, made my proud B'way debut in Motown the Musical back in the spring of 2013.

What else? Huge movie buff- Scorsese, Nolan and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are my heart and soul. Favorite band is the Rolling Stones, favorite play is Pillowman. Loyalty and a sense of community are perhaps my biggest values- theater is my passion not only because of the allure of the stage, but the family it builds. Getting big credits is nice, but I'd like to be the work horse, where people know they can depend on me for full commitment, solid performance and a stellar work ethic. If I can work consistently off of a good reputation, I'll be a happy man.

So… that's me! Enjoy the site, look around, have a ball.
